"After installing a combination of Worx Audio speakers, fills, mains and subs, in a church in Boise, Idaho. I was really impressed with their products sound quality. Which led me to ask Hugh Sarvis CEO and Director of Engineering for WorxAudio to bring 6 of the new Line Array TLV8's to an arena event in Baton Rouge, LA for a demo. This was for an evangelist, Benny Hinn. I have been doing front of house for Benny Hinn, for quite some time now and wanted to try the new line array in an arena setting. We have used three or four other top line arrays at other events, so we are very familiar with those and wanted to compare.

 

Well, to say the least, myself and all of the sound engineers were really impressed with them. We used six TLV8's for center fills instead of our normal center fill speakers. The TLV8's really brought out the choir in the mix, it like popped out in the mix, if I could use that term. The piano was so much cleaner in the over all mix, I actually had to back it off some, and I usually have to mix around the piano in my music mix. The vocals were great and it helped bring a clarity and still gave me a lot of warmth. Our lavalier was awesome, I even pulled down the hand held mic during some lively singing and had the led vocal singing on a lav during some of the louder music. It was great, no one could even tell he was singing on the lav, there was hardly any difference in volume or tone.

 

The TLV8's covered well from side to side in the arena, it covered from the focus point about 25' in front of the stage to the rear of the arena, at least 150' if not further. They help in the far upper corners to carry the voice as well. All in all they worked very well. I have made a recommendation to our production people to purchase some for our choir fills, side fills and center fills. They will cut down about 10,000 lbs. in over all weight in our production truck and do a very good job to help us cover the large arena's with quality sound.

 

I can't wait to try some of the TLV8's in a ballroom setting. I am sure they will cover and sound really good".
